SPICED HOLIDAY NUTS | |
1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. curry powder 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp. powdered ginger 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 2 tbsp. olive oil 2 cups almonds, pecans or mixed nuts Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine dry ingredients together. Set aside. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over low heat. Add spices and stir well. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes. Place nuts in a bowl. Top with oil/spice mixture. Mix well. Spread nuts on cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Place in another bowl. Sprinkle with more garlic salt (optional). Let rest for 2 hours.
