SAUERKRAUT, SLOVAK STYLE 
1 lg. onion, diced
2-3 tbsp. butter
1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, washed & drained well
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. caraway seed
Pepper to taste

In a skillet, cook onion in butter until lightly browned. Add sauerkraut, sugar, caraway seed and pepper; mix well. Simmer, covered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
