3 c. plain salt
3/4 c. water
1 c. cornstarch
3/4 c. water

Heat 3/4 cup water and salt until salt is hot. In separate container, dissolve cornstarch and 3/4 cup water. Pour this mixture into hot salt mixture and stir with heavy spoon. Allow to cool. Work until smooth. May be colored with food coloring. Keep in plastic bag in refrigerator until ready to use.
