BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
Crust:

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter. Press into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake crust for 15 minutes. Let cool.

Filling:

2 (8 oz. ea.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
3 large bananas, sliced
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 (12 oz.) tub Cool Whip
1/2 cup chopped nuts
4 oz. maraschino cherries, drained & halved

Cream together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and softened butter. Spread cream cheese mixture over graham cracker crust. Layer sliced bananas, drained pineapple, and Cool Whip in order. Sprinkle with chopped nuts then maraschino cherries.

Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.

Makes 8 servings.

Great dessert for summer. The 20oz can pineapple was spread pretty thin in a 9"x13". Add a small can of pineapple to beef up the flavor a little. Very popular at my tailgate party. Kept fine in ice chest.

I use 5 total good size bananas for full coverage and I add one extra small can of crushed pineapple for better moisture. SO GOOD. Made it multiple times for summer desert, picnics and tailgating. YOU can be a hit.
Roll your bananas in lemon juice and it will keep for days in fridge if it last that long.
