EASY WHITE BREAD | |
2 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 pkg. yeast 1 egg 1 c. water 1 c. milk 1/4 c. oil 2-2 1/2 c. flour Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Heat water, milk and oil to 120-130 degrees. Add egg and liquids; blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Stir in rest of flour to form stiff batter. Cover and let rise until light and doubled, 50 minutes. Stir down and spoon into greased 9 x 5 inch pan. I make this in a souffle pan and hollow out for spinach dip. Bake 45-50 minutes at 375 degrees. |
