SWISS CHARD | |
2 to 3 c. cooked Swiss chard 2 cloves garlic 1/4 c. onion or less 1/3 c. olive oil or Mazola oil Romano cheese 1 can kidney beans Wash Swiss chard well. Let 3 cups of water with 1 tablespoon of salt come to a boil. Put Swiss chard into boiling water. Cover and let cook until tender. Remove and let drain. Sauté garlic, onion and oil. Add Swiss chard and add salt to taste. Let simmer for 5 minutes, then add kidney beans. Also add about 1/2 cup water. Sprinkle Romano cheese. Let simmer for another 5 minutes. |
