1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 4 sqs. butter (leave out overnight) 4 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. vanilla FROSTING: 4 c. confectioners' sugar 1 c. shortening 4 egg whites 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla Blend together sugar and butter. Add vanilla and flour; mix well. Form into small balls. Use fork to flatten on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 15 minutes. Prepare Frosting by beating egg whites until stuff. Fold in 2 cups confectioners' sugar. Cream shortening; add rest of sugar. Beat in salt and vanilla. Combine this mixture with egg whites. Mix well. |
