HAMBURGER CORN - PONE PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 c. kidney beans, drained
1 c. corn bread batter (1/2 standard recipe)

Brown meat and onion in melted shortening. Add seasonings and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add kidney beans. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Top with corn bread batter and bake in 425 degree oven for 20 minutes.
