BEEF NOODLE AND MUSHROOM SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped (about 1/2 c.)
1 pkg. Hamburger Helper mix for beef noodle
6 c. water
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
2 med. cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
2 tbsp. dry red wine, if desired
2 tbsp. snipped parsley

Cook and stir ground beef and onion in Dutch oven until beef is brown; drain. Stir in sauce mix, water, basil, garlic, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; reduce heat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes; stir in noodles, mushrooms and wine. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer; stir in parsley. About 7 cups soup.
