FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
8 oz. candied cherries
8 oz. candied pineapple
3 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients. Add eggs, one at a time. Add fruit and nuts. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes.
