FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
FIRST BOWL:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. buttermilk

ANOTHER BOWL:

2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix together ingredients in first bowl. Mix ingredients in first bowl with second bowl ingredients, stirring in pecans last. Drop by spoonful onto slightly greased cookie sheet. May garnish with cherries. Bake at 400 degrees until brown.
