PORK CHOPS WITH APPLESAUCE GRAVY | |
6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick 1 garlic clove, minced 1/3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 c. boiling water 1 c. applesauce 1 tbsp. lemon juice Brown 6 chops in skillet 15 minutes. Remove to casserole. To fat in skillet add and saute briefly 1 clove garlic, minced. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Slowly stir in boiling water; stir until well blended and thickened. Add applesauce and lemon juice; pour over chops and bake 325 degrees 1 1/2 hours. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
