BROWN SUGAR COFFEE CAKE | |
2 c. flour 2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. nutmeg (opt.) 1 egg, well beaten 1 c. sour cream/yogurt 1/2 c. chopped nuts Combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter as for pie crust. Spread 2 1/2 cups of the flour mixture in bottom of a greased 11"x7" pan. Blend soda into remaining flour and sugar mixture. Combine egg, sour cream and stir into flour mixture until just blended. Spoon over crumb mixture, spreading evenly. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. |
