STEAK AND YELLOW RICE | |
Great comfort food! 10 oz. yellow saffron rice 3 lb. sirloin tip steak flour brown gravy mix garlic powder Pound steak on both sides and roll in flour. Season with garlic powder. Fry in skillet until brown and completely done. Turn skillet to low and add brown gravy mix and one cup of water. Cover and let cook, turning each piece every 15 minutes so it doesn't stick and until fork tender. Cooking slow for about 2 hours. Note: Add water as needed to keep from getting too thick. You can also add another brown gravy mix and water if needed. When steak is ready it will be so tender that it will break into pieces. Serve steak and gravy over yellow rice. Submitted by: LJR |
