BUTTERSCOTCH PECAN COOKIES 
A Crisp Cookie.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup pecans

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add egg and blend well. Add flour and nuts and mix until all the flour is moistened. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet.

Bake at 375°F for about 12 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen cookies
