BROWNIE CAKE 
Cake:

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
4 heaping tbsp. cocoa

Sift together sugar and flour; set aside. Bring butter, cocoa and water to a boil. Add soda to buttermilk and combine with hot mixture. Pour in the dry ingredients. Stir in eggs and vanilla.

Bake on greased and floured cookie sheet at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes. Frost while hot.

Frosting:

1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa

Mix cocoa, butter and milk in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy. Add nuts and spread over hot cake.
