SWEET AND SOUR CABBAGE 
Head of cabbage, sliced
2 tbsp. water
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
Dash cayenne pepper
Dash nutmeg
4 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar

Soak the sliced cabbage in water for 20 minutes (cover cabbage). Drain cabbage and add water, butter, salt, onion, cayenne pepper, nutmeg and 2 tablespoons of water in a saucepan. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Add vinegar and sugar, cook 5 more minutes.
