RHUBARD SHORT CAKE | |
3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. shortening 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. milk 1 c. chopped rhubarb 1 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, in an 8 x 8 pan. Serve hot with a mixture of milk, sugar and cinnamon poured over top of each piece. Make milk mixture to suit your taste. |
