1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk or water
1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix sugar and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Combine flour and baking powder and salt. Add together with the milk to the first ingredients.
