HONEYED PEAR BUTTER | |
3 fresh Bartlett pears, cored & chopped 1/2 c. water 1 tbsp. honey 1 tsp. unsalted butter 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, 15 to 20 minutes or microwave, covered, in microwave-safe dish on HIGH (100%) 3 minutes or until pears are tender. Cool to room temperature. Drain pears; discard the juice and puree the pears. Store in refrigerator, covered, up to 2 weeks. Makes about 1 pint. TIP: Serve on bread or with grilled or roasted poultry or pork. |
