GRANDMA HANNON'S IRISH MEATLOAF | |
1 1/2 lbs. hamburg 1 lg. onion, grated 2 English muffins, grated and mashed 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1 (8 oz.) can Hunt's tomato sauce (6 oz. used in recipe and 2 oz. spread over top) 3 eggs 1/2 to 1 c. Progresso Italian bread crumbs (depending on consistency desired) Grate onion and English muffins. Add eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder and tomato sauce. Mix until well blended. Mix in hamburg and bread crumbs. Shape into a loaf and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serves 6-8. |
