WAFFLE COOKIES 
2 cubes (1/2 lb.) butter
2 c. sugar
6 to 8 tbsp. cocoa
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Melt butter, cool slightly. Add remaining ingredients with wooden spoon. DO NOT USE MIXER. Drop small amounts of batter on preheated waffle iron. Bake approximately as long as it takes your iron to bake waffles. Practice!! Cookies will be soft and tender while warm. Cool on rack, sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm.
