DATE LOGS 
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
14 c. chopped candied orange peel
1 c. chopped nuts

Beat eggs until foamy and light. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until fluffy and thick. Stir in fruit juices. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and fold into the egg mixture. Gently fold in the dates, peel and nuts, making sure all ingredients are blended. Pour into a greased or floured 13x9 inch pan and spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack at least 15 minutes. While still warm, cut into pieces.
