1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. plain flour
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. lemon flavoring

Combine sugar and shortening 10 minutes on high speed. Add eggs all at one time. Beat well. Add flour and milk a little at a time. Mix in lemon flavoring. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 hour at 275 degrees, then 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
