“EASY ORANGE SHERBET” IS IN:

EASY ORANGE SHERBET 
juice of 3 large oranges
juice of 2 large lemons
1 cup sugar
3 cups hot milk
1/4 tsp. pure orange oil (optional)

Squeeze oranges and lemons, remove seeds. Add sugar to juice. Stir in milk. Transfer to a freezing tray, ice cream maker or large plastic snap-lid container. Freeze, stirring frequently for 20 minutes (this is an important step - if the mixture is not stirred often, large crystals will form and the sherbet will not be smooth).

One hour before serving, add one cup of whipped cream and stir in. Return to freezer until ready to serve.

This is fun for kids to make in the Winter when the temperature dips below 25°F out. They can store the container in a snow bank and make frequent trips outside to check on the progress of their creation.
