MOM'S NO-PEEK OVEN BAKED STEW 
2 lb. stew beef
2 onions, chopped
2 celery stalks, cut into pieces
6 carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
4 potatoes, cubed
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 1/2 tbsp. tapioca pearls
3 to 4 cups beef broth (Swanson 32 oz. box)

Heat oven to 275°F.

Cover bottom of 9x13-inch pan with beef. Layer vegetables on top of beef. Mix together sugar, salt, pepper and tapioca pearls. Sprinkle mix on vegetables. Pour beef broth over everything (4 cups makes it jucier). Seal with aluminum foil.

Bake in slow (275°F) oven for 4 hours. Do not peek before then!
