STRAWBERRY GLACE PIE | |
2 pts. strawberries 3/4 c. sugar 3 tbsp. cornstarch 4 or 5 drops red food coloring Baked pie crust Cool Whip Hull and wash strawberries. Put one cup berries in small saucepan. Add 1 cup water and heat. Bring to boil, then let simmer for 2 minutes. Strain berries and catch juice. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Add reserved juice and cook until thickened. Add food coloring. Place the remaining berries in pie crust. Pour glaze over them. Refrigerate several hours until set. Top with Cool Whip. |
