POTATO CAKE 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 well beaten eggs
1 c. chocolate
3/4 c. milk
1 c. mashed potatoes
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

FROSTING:

1/3 c. milk
6 tsp. butter
3/4 c. chocolate
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. powdered sugar, sifted

Heat milk, butter, chocolate, and salt until smooth. Add vanilla and sugar. Stir until smooth. Spread over top of cake.
