PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
1 baked pie shell
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. cornstarch
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. scalded milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites (for meringue)

Combine powdered sugar and peanut butter until the appearance of biscuit mix. Spread half of this mixture over pie shell. Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and scalded milk. Pour small amount of this mixture over the beaten egg yolks. Mix well. Then return to milk mixture. Cook in double boiler until mixture thickens, add butter and vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Top with meringue.
