1 single pie crust 1 c. sugar 2 heaping tbsp. Crisco or lard 2 eggs 1 c. cold water 2 heaping c. flour 2 heaping tsp. baking powder Flavor with vanilla 1 c. sugar Almost 1 c. cocoa Pinch of salt 1 c. cold water Line a pie pan with the pie crust. In a bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, Crisco or lard, eggs, 1 cup water, flour, baking powder and vanilla; beat until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, cocoa, salt, and 1 cup cold water; mix until smooth. Swirl cocoa mixture into cake mixture and pour into prepared pie pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. |
