CRANBERRY FRUIT NUT BREAD 
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. grated orange rind
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Sift dry ingredients, cut in shortening. Combine orange juice, orange rind and egg. Add to dry ingredients just to moisten. Fold in berries and nuts. Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan. Bake 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Remove from pan.
