DATE PECAN PIE 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
4 tbsp. milk
2 beaten egg yolks
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 stiffly beaten egg whites

Cream sugar and butter. Add milk and egg yolks. Add dates and pecans. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour. Use 8 or 9-inch crust.
