SUPER CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 c. white sugar
3 tbsp. butter, room temperature
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. cocoa, fill with boiling water to make 1 c. of liquid
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream together sugar and butter; add egg and cocoa liquid. Mix soda and boiling water. Add this, flour and baking powder, mix well. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan. The batter will be thin.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. This cake doubles well.

Bake in a 9 X 13 inch pan or a bundt pan for 40 to 50 minutes.
