1 lb. ground round beef (I double amount and use just beef) 1/2 lb. ground pork 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 onion, grated 2 eggs 1 c. canned cream 4 tbsp. butter 3 slices crumbled bread, if desired Mix all ingredients and shape into balls, brown in the butter and add to beef broth or consomme and simmer until cooked. |
