FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE | |
2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 beaten egg #303 can (16 - 17 oz.) fruit cocktail, undrained Mix all ingredients together and bake in 13 x 9 inch pan for 40 minutes in 300 degree oven. Cool. ICING: 1 c. sugar 1 stick butter 1 sm. can evaporated milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts 3 1/2 oz. can coconut While cake is cooling, cook first 3 ingredients for 10 minutes after the boiling point. Take off heat and add vanilla, chopped nuts and coconut. Cool and spread on cake. |
