GRILLED TUNA STEAKS
4 fresh tuna steaks
1 bottle Italian dressing (I use Zesty Italian)
Salt & pepper

Marinate tuna steaks with whole bottle of Italian dressing for 3 to 4 hours. Place on hot grill and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill approximately 10 minutes each side until done. It will flake easily when fully cooked. Great in summer with green beans and salad! Serves 4.

Grilled Tuna Steaks

I recommend grilling for half the above time! Grilled tuna should be VERY rare in the middle and only fully cooked on the outside edge. Otherwise, you may as well have canned tuna...

I agree, the rarer the more moist

Well, if you are going to eat it rare you might as well eat sushi. If you don't know how fresh the fish is....I suggest cooking it enough to kill any possible bacteria.

If your grocer tells you that the tuna comes in frozen (which is the way most tuna needs to be transported for locations not close to a seaport) then there is no need to make sure it is fully cooked. I saw this on a recent report about sushi and how to make sure it is safe.

This was my first time making grilled tuna steaks, and they were delicious. This recipe was just a guide. If you want to cook less, or more, than do so. It's you that's cooking and eating it. Just trying to help!

Excellent, just keep an eye on the steaks; if tuna steaks are overcooked it losses the flavor of the oils.

Thank you so much... Its my first time making it... I used my own marinade... As close to the dressing as possible. And the cook time was perfect... I guess it depends on the amount of heat. Thank you very much for your help... :D

My boyfriend just got back from the coast with lots of fresh tuna. I'm interested in different ways of cooking it. I did pour the zesty Italian dressing on the tuna...needless to say, it never made it to the grill! I ate the whole steak fresh with the dressing, no need to grill it for me, yummy!!!
