KELLIE'S IOWA BROWNIES 
Both children and adults adore these. Delicious served with ice cream!

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup sugar
16 oz. chocolate syrup (Hershey's)
4 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in chocolate syrup, salt, then eggs one at a time. Beat in flour gradually. Fold in chopped nuts.

Pour into greased 10x15-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.

FROSTING:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk (Carnation)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

In saucepan, combine butter, sugar an d evaporated milk. Bring to boiling and boil for 1 minute. Stir in chocolate chips, beat and stir until melted.

Frosting will be thin and glossy. Frost brownies quickly with a wet knife or spatula while brownies are still warm. Cut into squares.

Makes about 6 dozen.
