LAYERED JELLO | |
6 (3 oz.) pkg. Jello (6 different colors) 1 pt. sour cream Hot water Patience! 6 hours! Starting with darkest color first, mix 1 package Jello with 1 cup hot water. Divide, pouring 2/3 cup into bottom of glass baking dish. Allow to set. Mix remaining 1/3 cup with 1/3 cup sour cream. This becomes the second layer. Carefully add second layer (I spoon it in) on top of first layer, after first layer has set. Usually takes 15 minutes or so. Allow second layer to set. Continue same procedure for other 5 colors, alternating layers. (You can mix the second package while the first one sets.) Special Note: Always put Jello into hot water. After adding Jello into hot water it will be a little more than 1 cup, so you will have a little more than 2/3 cup and 1/3 cup, but divide it accordingly. Mix Jello slowly into sour cream. |
