1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
6 tbsp. vegetable oil + 1 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cold water

Mix dry ingredients into ungreased 8 x 8 pan. Make 3 holes with finger in the flour mixture. Pour the oil in one hole vinegar in another, and vanilla in the other. Pour cold water over all and mix THOROUGHLY with fork. Bake in same pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool; frost in same pan. Delicious!
