PUMPKIN SPICE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. cooked, mashed pumpkin
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. milk

Mix butter and shortening, gradually adding brown sugar and granulated sugar until mixture is fluffy. Add eggs and pumpkin, beating well. Add eggs and pumpkin, beating well. Onto a piece of waxed paper, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, ground cloves. Add sifted mixture alternately with the milk in 3 stages. Mix well after each addition. Pour mixture into 10" greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
