PUMPKIN SPICE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. butter
1 c. each white sugar and brown sugar
4 eggs
2 c. pumpkin
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 c. milk
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Cream sugar, butter until light, add eggs one at a time. Blend in the pumpkin. Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk beating well each time. Fold in the nuts. Bake in greased and floured 10 inch tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.

FROSTING: Beat together 2 tablespoons butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons orange juice. Dribble on cake and sprinkle some grated orange rind over frosting if desired.
