CORN BREAD TACO BAKE | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix 1/2 c. water 1 can (12 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1 pkg. (8 1/2 oz.) corn muffin mix 1 can French Fried onions 1/3 c. (1 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese Brown meat, drain. Stir in next 5 ingredients. Pour into 8 x 12 inch baking dish. Prepare corn muffin mix according to package directions EXCEPT add 1/2 can French Fried onions. Spoon onions around outer edge of casserole. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Top cornbread with cheese and remaining onions. Bake 2 to 3 minutes longer. |
