MICROWAVED FRESH CORN ON THE COB
Corn with fresh green husks

Place corn on turntable of microwave, with about 1" space between. Cook no more than 4 ears at a time on HIGH setting. Cook 1 ear for 6 minutes, 2 ears 10 minutes and 4 ears 15 to 17 minutes or until tender.

When corn has finished cooking, let cool a few minutes, then using a towel to protect your hands, hold corn and peel back the husks, the silks will be easy to remove.

Salt and butter the ears at this time, the husks may be pulled back over the ear to keep warm or completely remove husks and serve. Delicious!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

After Cooking let rest for 5 minutes. Cut off just above stem on bottom of ear where all husk join, hold by other end and slide ear right out. Makes for easy clean up and virtually no hair on ear either.

@Cheyl and @Mike - Use parchment paper or the new glad self sealing cling wrap, which is microwave salt. Add a little butter and a pinch of sugar. 15 mins for 6 ears and it will always be sweet and buttered
