These brownies were delicious! Moist and fudge-like in the middle. I used all the ingredients in the quantities listed but I changed the method just a bit. I put the butter in a saucepan over low heat to melt. While I was waiting, I put the sugar, cocoa, eggs and vanilla in a bowl and whisked with a wire whisk. I then whisked in the melted butter til combined. I put 1/2 cup flour and the salt in the bowl and whisked til combined then added the rest of the flour 1/2 cup at a time, whisking after each addition. This avoided the trouble stirring that some other commenters mentioned. They were perfectly done in 25 minutes at 350°F. Thank you for sharing this great recipe.

I have been making these for 5 years. I have added chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips, Heath toffee pieces, M&M's, whatever sounds good & I have available when I am making them. My family loves them every time they are made!

These were the worst brownies I've ever made. They had no taste. I threw them away. I tripled checked to make sure I didn't miss adding an ingredient. Just awful! I will never make these again.

The easiest and best tasting I've ever had. Dried cherries or cranberries would be great. Did have to increase the baking time. Thank you for this!

Too cake like. Taste too bland. Needs something to liven them up.

My first time making homemade brownies. I did only soften butter. I think next time I will melt the butter.

OK, folks, fix these brownies and a glass of milk and you're set. The recipe was easy and so tasty. I'm snowed in today in Virginia and these were "necessary". Thanks for sharing.

The only brownie recipe I bother to use anymore. Sometimes I'll swirl in some fresh-ground peanut butter before I put it in the oven for some extreme flavor sensations.

Next time I will try with nuts added. Very good and I control the ingredients not all the bad stuff in them.

I wanted to make homemade brownies and found this recipe on line, made them from scratch adding a bit of Dude Sweet Chocolate to the Coco powder and they are truly awesome! Will make for Holiday's.

I'm a long time baker and let me tell you that this recipe is one of my favorites!! I add chocolate chips right before they bake and I get requests for these on birthdays, weddings, etc.
