“STUFFED BELL PEPPERS” IS IN:

STUFFED BELL PEPPERS 
4 medium sweet peppers
1 lb. extra lean ground beef
1 cup instant rice (Minute)
1 medium onion chopped
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes (do not drain)
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. dried basil

In a large bowl combine all ingredients except peppers. The mixture will be sloppy. Discard tops and seeds and wash peppers. Fill peppers with mixture and set aside. Pour remaining mixture into large casserole dish. Arrange filled peppers in the mixture.

Bake at 350°F for one hour or until firm.

I love this recipe, except that I also pour a can of tomato sauce over the top before I bake it, and I pretty much cook everything before I mix it (brown the beef, sautee the onions) but this is a good fundamental recipe for stuffed peppers!

Super easy! My family loves them! I cut the peppers lengthwise in half, fill with mixture and put muenster cheese on top before baking ...they are much easier to eat and a smaller serving
