BARBECUED BEEF 
1 1/2 to 2 c. cooked roast beef
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tsp. prepared mustard
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. cold water
4 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, sliced thin
1/4 green pepper
1/2 c. catsup

Combine sugar, vinegar, mustard, lemon juice, salt, paprika, pepper, cold water, butter, onion slices and green pepper which has been cut into strips. Simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes. Add catsup and beef which has been cut into strips. Refrigerate. Heat and serve with noodles, mashed potatoes or toasted hamburger rolls.

DIETITIAN'S NOTE:

Leftover roast beef seldom gets such royal treatment as in this delicious dish. To decrease sodium eliminate salt or use PaPa Dash. To reduce fat, cholesterol and calories, prepare the recipe without the butter. A 3 ounce serving of sirloin tip roast provides 157 calories, 5 to 9 grams of fat, and 75 mg cholesterol.
