1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 pkg. onion soup mix
2 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. water

Combine meat, egg, crumbs, seasonings and half of onion soup mix and mix well. Shape into patties and brown in oil on both sides. Remove hamburger. Add flour to pan and stir while it browns lightly. Blend in water, stirring vigorously until smooth. Stir in remaining soup mix and cook 5 minutes more. Serve with rice.
