TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German sweet chocolate cake mix. Prepare cake mix according to directions on box. Pour half the batter into 9 x 13-inch pan and bake according to directions for 15 minutes at 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass dish). Melt 1 (14 oz.) bag of caramels and 3/4 cup butter with 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Pour over baked portion of cake. Add 1 cup pecans and 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour balance of batter over top and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Ice, if desired, with chocolate icing. |
