CHEWY CAKE 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 (1 lb.) box light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Melt butter in medium saucepan - add sugar and stir well - remove from heat - add egg one at a time - beating well after each addition. Add flour, 1 cup at a time - mix well. Add vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Bake in a lightly greased pan, 13x9x2-inches, for 25 minutes at 350°F.
