PRESIDENT'S LEMON BARS 
CRUST:

1 c. butter
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 c. all-purpose white flour

FILLING:

4 eggs, well beaten
2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. all-purpose white flour
1 c. shredded coconut (optional)

To prepare crust, thoroughly mix crust ingredients in mixing bowl. Spread out in greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven until very pale tan. Cool.

To prepare filling, thoroughly mix together all ingredients. Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool thoroughly and cut into small bars to serve. Makes about 2 dozen bars.
